Modular Sump Pit
Emecole’s new Modular Sump Pit offers contractors numerous advantages over traditional round sump pits. The unique, simple job site assembled design and space saving shape tucks neatly into the corner of a basement. This saves valuable floor space and is also perfect for hard-to-access crawl spaces.
The rectangular space saving shape allows for easy installation of up to three pumps and holds more water per inch of height than round designs. In its unassembled state, it stacks neatly for storage and shipping.
Our rectangular sump pit is available with or without holes or a combination of the two. We recommend two sides with holes to allow water entry and two sides without, installing the two “solid” sides facing the foundation walls. This method of application prevents the possible weakening of the footing.
The bolted down clear polycarbonate lid with its radon-proof, air tight gasket keeps children and pets safe. It is virtually indestructible and allows for visual inspection without lid removal.
