The EmeSeal Crawl Space System features a variety of our manufactured liners, otherwise known as vapor barriers. Since there are no “one size fits all” cures for addressing an unsealed and unhealthy crawl space, we have developed multiple crawl space liners to address a number of problems associated with moisture and soil gases. Our selection includes liners for floors, walls, combo liners and more. They can also be used for basements when additional sealing measures are necessary to help protect against moisture and soil gases.
Protecting the crawl space against excess moisture is a necessary measure towards preserving the long-term indoor air quality of the entire home. The prevention or minimizing the amount of moisture allowed into the crawl space reduces the parameters often associated with the growth of mold. In addition, an encapsulated crawl space also stops the entry of soil gases, such as radon. Keeping unhealthy soil gases out of the crawl space is another pivotal measure towards protecting the home’s indoor air quality since much of the bad air circulating within a crawl space will eventually make its way through the rest of the home.
The use of crawl space liners on walls and floors also provides insulation while also potentially reducing energy costs. Furthermore, they bring a brighter, cleaner, and healthier appearance to the crawl space.
